A pencil test in animated film is a first version of a scene, drawn before finalization.
Here, the film is composed of graffiti, of figures frozen in layers and accumulated over the years on the tables of a lecture hall.
Photographed and then animated, the drawings create their own scenario, a choreography echoing the imagination of their creators. The soundtrack is a 1927 piano piece by Maxime Jacob.
